A ninety-minute course. The first part of the class focuses upon the basic components and operation of a computer. The second part works on learning in-depth mouse techniques, using a mouse tutorial. The class ends with a short introduction to the library's web site.

This ninety-minute course introduces the student to the basics of word processing using Microsoft's 2003 Word program. From the very first step on how ti identify and utilize the tools to editing, saving and printing features. The student will leave the class with a basic understanding of how the program works and how to access it on their own from their home pc or by using the library's free computers.

Music, Food, Fun and Craft Vendors to celebrate 3 decades of Canal Days!
We have lots to choose from, with up to 200 vendors on display, including raffles for charity, kid's activities at the George Street overlook and much more.
Bands: 9 a.m. to Noon Blakin' Jazz
1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Rte 1 (country-rock)
Admission and parking will be handled by the Rising Sun Fire Company and Boy Scout Troop #336 of Chesapeake City.
Parking: $10 per car (includes air-conditioned bus transport to and from parking location)
Admission: Donation Requested of $5 per adult.
NOTE: No parking in town after Midnight on Friday the 27th - towing begins at 4 am on Saturday the 28th.
USCG will be enforcing strict safety measures in the canal basin beginning Tuesday, June 24th thru Canal Day.
