Notice is hereby given that the Chesapeake City Town Council has adopted Ordinance 2020-006, an Ordinance authorizing the possession and consumption of alcohol during the Sip and Stroll and Ordinance 2021-007, an Ordinance authorizing and empowering the Town to issue and sell, upon it’s full faith and credit, (1) General Obligation Refunding Bonds in one or more series from time to time in an original aggregate principal amount not to exceed six-hundred, eighty-thousand dollars ($680,000.00) (The “initial refunding bonds”), in order to (A) currently refund or advance refund all or a portion of the outstanding the Town of Chesapeake City Refunding Bond of 2012 (The “2012 Bond”0 and (B) Pay related costs, and (2) General Obligation Refunding Bonds in one or more series from time in order to (A) Currently refund or advance refund in whole or in part any of the issued and outstanding initial refunding bonds (The “Subsequent Refunding Bonds”) and (B) Pay related costs, provided that the maximum original aggregate principal amount of any series of subsequent refunding bonds shall not exceed 130% of the principal amount of the initial refunding bonds refunded therefrom at a meeting held on Monday, December 13, 2021.

The Ordinances were introduced on Monday, November 22, 2021, and a Public Hearing was held on Monday, December 13, 2021. The complete Ordinances may be viewed at Town Hall during regular business hours.
