We wanted to alert you that the Town of Chesapeake City is starting the next phase of improvements to our wastewater collection system. We are working to remove Inflow and Infiltration (I&I). I&I is when stormwater flows into our sewer, increasing the volume of sewage that needs to be treated. The extra I&I volume increases the cost of treatment to all our residents. Over the next 6 weeks, the Town and our contractors will be doing various repairs in multiple locations throughout the Town. The work includes video inspection, pipe lining, and manhole repairs. There will be no interruptions to your sewer service. We appreciate your patience while we make these improvements.
